KMA recently received reaccreditation from the American Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) for its CME accreditation program. For the first time, KMA received an “Accreditation with Commendation,” meaning that the association was recognized for being “a learning organization and a change agent for the physicians and patients you serve.” This is the first time KMA’s CME efforts have received such a commendation. KMA has use of the ACCME’s logo, indicating it is accredited with commendation. This accreditation is for a six-year term, not the typical four-year term. Of almost 2,000 accredited providers, only 20% achieve this status.
