We are your physicians in Northern Kentucky

The Northern Kentucky Medical Society Foundation established a scholarship with the University of Kentucky.  The scholarship will be awarded to a 3rd or 4th year medical student in the amount of $15,000.00 per year.  The recipient must be a resident from Boone County, Kenton County, or Campbell County.  The recipient must agree to return to the Northern Kentucky area to practice medicine for at least 2 years following completion of medical school and any post-doctoral training. We are pleased to announce that the first candidate to receive the Northern Kentucky Medical Society Foundation Scholarship is Megan Schneider.

Megan expressed her gratitude for the scholarship and had the following to say: “Thank you so very much for the opportunities you have given me by awarding the Northern Kentucky Medical Society [Foundation] Scholarship to me. Not only will this scholarship greatly reduce the debt we will face once I graduate, it will also demonstrate to local residency programs and OBGYN practices how dedicated I am to serving this community. Most importantly, this scholarship will allow us to return home and fulfill our dream of raising our family near our families and in the community where we were raised.   Both my husband and I are very grateful for this scholarship, and I feel honored to be able to represent the Northern Kentucky Medical Society.” After Megan finishes her residency, she plans to join an obstetrics and gynecology practice in Northern Kentucky.
